I’ve always been fascinated by old European castles, I liken myself to an emotionless structure with massive walls.
Black guy kills some people.
Society: Criminal.
Muslim guy kills some people.
Society: Terrorist.
Latino guy kills some people.
Society: Criminal.
White guy kills some people.
Society: Mental illness. (lost soul, complicated psyche, quiet loner, misunderstood, frustrated with life, experienced recent, traumatic, life-altering events that set him off; not to mention all the positive descriptors that are attached to him, i.e. intelligent, PhD candidate, honor roll student, etc.)
TSK: An overload of cuteness
Cranquis: Ok, ma'am, I'm going to touch your neck now.
30-something female patient with a sore throat: Ok.
3-year-old son standing next to the exam table, wide-eyed: Uh-oh, mommy, this might tickle!
Cranquis *grinning*: I'll try not to tickle her, buddy. Ok, ma'am, you can get down from the table now.
Son: Mommy, do you feel all better?
Patient: I will, in a little while, son.
Son: Good. Doctor, shouldn't you give my mommy a sticker now?
Cranquis *by this point, giggling*: Absolutely!

Id like to think July has a reset button. New financial year, half way to Xmas etc etc.
